Sample PAC Board Expectations

The following are sample expectations you could use for your PAC Board members:

  • Be recognized as a leader and strong supporter of the organization’s PAC
  • Vote to approve/reject PAC contribution requests
  • Attend all assigned Board meetings either in person or via teleconference (miss no more than one/year)
  • Give prior approval authorization for solicitation from your organization to the association (association PACs)
  • Serve as a primary fundraiser for the PAC and subsequently lead successful solicitation campaigns as predetermined by the Board
  • Assist in hosting events and fundraisers organization-wide for the PAC
  • Serve as an informational resource and contact for the PAC
  • Develop and maintain a strong working relationship with the management of your area
  • Provide frequent updates on PAC activities by communicating regularly with eligibles in your area
  • Contribute regularly to PAC communications (newsletter, email updates, Web, etc…)
  • Develop future Board members
